Wildwater Chattooga
Chattooga River Section IV Trip
Section IV of the Chattooga begins where the Wildwater Section III trip ends. This run covers the steepest section of river currently being run on a commercial basis in the Southeast. In a 1/4 mile gorge, the river drops more than 75 feet through the famed Five Falls: Entrance, Corkscrew, Crack-In-the-Rock, Jawbone, and Sock-Em Dog. Recommended for guests with previous rafting experience, Section IV can be the ultimate challenge for whitewater paddlers. On Section IV trips there is a skilled guide in each raft. All summer Friday trips include our BBQ dinner with all the fix'ins at our Chattooga Pavillion. *All Chattooga trips require that guests hike into and out of the 1/4 mile protected corridor. Guests should consider the strenuous nature of the trip and expect to assist in carrying equipment. SC Outdoor Insider - Rafting the Chattooga River Video |
