Wildwater was the original professional outfitter in the southeast and from the beginning we have put an emphasis on creating and maintaining top-notch facilities. Each location has its own unique character and style which reflect the strong commitment Wildwater has to quality, service and attention to details on and off the river.
QUALITY is reflected in clean and modern restroom facilities, landscaped and professionally maintained grounds, extra amenities such as picnic pavilions at all locations, and a relaxed “park-style” atmosphere.
SERVICE is obvious in our river store amenities, complementary snack and drink stations following each trip, and friendly personal assistance. You can also count on other DETAILS like relaxing pre and post trip activities and insider information from the people who live here, both guides and front desk Team Members, to help you with your stay at Wildwater.
Wildwater Chattooga
Long Creek, SC
Wildwater’s original Rafting Center at the Chattooga is anchored by 2 historic buildings that once served as a rural Baptist boarding school. Today Long Creek Academy serves as the nations most unique outdoor adventure complex and includes dorm housing for guides, a river store, guest cottages w/pond, group facilities with Commons building & yurts, full High & Low Ropes facilities, a conference room, a picnic pavilion, horseshoes, volleyball, cornhole (beanbag game), picnic areas, changing rooms, showers, and free Wi-Fi access. Wildwater activities include canoeing, kayaking, rafting, lake touring, zipline/canopy tours, team building, group yurts to high end cabin lodging options, and food services all located at Wildwater Chattooga.
Wildwater Nantahala
Bryson City, NC
Wildwater’s Nantahala facility was designed for families. Multiple fun shaped structures both blend in to the wooded setting and inspire curiosity rounding each bend. Easy in and out access to check-in, shopping, restrooms, changing rooms, and showers, with numerous deck levels and private spots for picnicing or hanging out, plus free Wi-Fi, makes the Nantahala location a nice place to just gather and relax before and after a day of adventure. A large picnic pavilion above the main adventure center provides an easy escape for groups wanting to meet and eat. Wildwater offers guided rafting, raft & inflatable kayak rentals, Jeep Tours, zipline/canopy tours & multi activity adventure packages, and group meals. The Canopy Tour, Group lodging & our unique Yurt Village is available at the Falling Waters Adventure Resort across the street from Wildwater Nantahala.
Falling Waters Adventure Resort
Bryson City, NC
Just across the road is Wildwater’s Falling Waters Adventure Resort. Falling Waters is a 22 acre adventure retreat comprised of 8 uniquely decorated Yurts are scattered amongst 2 small ponds, rock cliffs with vast views, and hardwood & pine forest. The opposite end of the property hosts our 44 bed Group Lodge. The Group Lodge offers affordable group lodging with 6 private rooms, a dining hall/meeting room, and outside grills and large fire ring.
Wildwater Ocoee
Ducktown, TN
As one of the Ocoee’s leading outfitters, our Wildwater Ocoee location is in an almost constant state of activity. Wildwater offers over 15 trips daily on our busy days and coordinating all that activity takes a great center to accommodate our guests. The Ocoee Adventure Center was built from the ground up with whitewater rafting in mind. Upon arriving you are immediately greeted by our check-in counter with a spacious deck on one side and our river store on the other. Once checked in you can relax on benches out front or head through to Wildwater Willie's, our restaurant, bar and our photo area for a snack, lunch, or dinner while enjoying the photos from the trips of the day on 2 large screen monitors. Café tables and chairs are scattered throuout the deli deck providing multiple places for families or groups to hang out and relax before or after the trip. Groups can also take advantage of the large picnic shelter used for orientation but also available for group meals. Wildwater offers 2 unique fully-guided half day trips-Ocoee Middle & Ocoee Upper as well as a full day combo with meal and drink options, group packages, group meals and our new zipline/canopy tour.

Wildwater Pigeon
Hartford, TN
Set in the Smoky Mountains along the TN & NC border, Wildwater Pigeon is rich in convenience. Located just off I-40 in the small town of Hartford, this rafting location is centered between Knoxville & Asheville and very convenient to Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. With a mix of practicality and style, the Pigeon River Adventure Center is a traditional Smoky Mountain log cabin complete with a 12 foot tall water wheel. Inside is our largest store with a wide selection of trip & post trip items. Out back Wildwater has a playground area for children, horseshoes, volleyball, and a large picnic pavilion and orientation area. Additional facilities include 2 zipline canopy tours, Express & Waterfall tours, a 40 foot climbing wall, Jeep Tours, and an additional 1200 sq ft group pavilion overlooking the river.
